The laboratory has been establish under the Presidential Mandate 459/87 (FEK 215/8-12-87). Ministerial Decree of Establishment: Internal Regulation of Operation : Presidential Mandate 48/2001, FEK 38/5-3-2001.

The laboratory is a part of the Λειτουργικό-Κλινικοεργαστηριακό Τομέα of the Department of Medicine, Democritus University of Thrace.

Our main activities involve teaching Pharmacology at undergraduate and postgraduate level along with performing clinical work for the University Hospital of Alexandroupolis via the Laboratory of Clinical Pharmacology.

Our research is focused on modern aspects of pharmacology: molecular pharmacology, pharmacogenetics, pharmacoepigenetics and immunopharmacology.
